Senior Co-Op 2024: Week One Blog Prompts
Welcome to the first week of Senior Co-Op! We hope you have an incredible and valuable experience as you use this time to prepare for your life after graduation.
Assignment
Choose one of the following prompts & post a thoughtful response (and high resolution photos) on your blog. These posts should be 5-6 sentences minimum. Make sure that you have the prompt you will be using posted on your blog. Post both by 11:59:59 pm on Sunday, May 19th. Please note if your blog isn't complete you will not be able to attend prom.
Blog choices for Co-Op week #1:
1. Describe your hopes and fears for this Co-Op experience. Consider your job description, your project/goals, your coworkers, your Co-Op site and how it relates to your plans after graduation. Post a picture that is connected to your ideas.
2. Choose an employee in your company and after a conversation with him or her, describe his/her education, overall career path and current job description. Don't forget to post a picture of you with your new coworker!
3. Who is your mentor? Describe his or her life, education, career path and more. Don't forget to post a picture of you with your mentor!
4. Describe the culture at your Co-Op site, including how people interact, communicate and work together. Post an image that captures that culture.
5.What are you most surprised by during your first week of Co-Op and why? Post an image that shows what surprises you.
6. What goods and/or services does your company provide to the community and how do they consider their role in the community, responsibilities to society? Post an image that shows something your company contributes or an image that shows the effects of the work your company does.
7. What is your company's mission statement (and if they don't have one, write it!), and how do you see it in their work? Post an image that reflects that statement.
8. If you organized an entrepreneurial Co-Op experience or a hybrid experience, describe how you hope to grow from the various components of your weekly schedule.
